This is where I am at currently on coloring the portrait of Sarah--Elizabeth. This is a new technique for me and the first time I have tried it in a painting. I am learning as I go. I would love for you to tell me how you think it is going.
Sarah has some wonderful images in her gallery. Here is the link to her DA page:
I am not much of a critique but this looks REALLY interesting and impressive. i was just wondering have you ever took an art class or got a BA or something like that Can't wait to see more of what you've got up your artistic sleeve
Thank you! This is still a WIP though. I have told myself that I won't post any more WIPs in my main gallery because I get all these favs on them and then I release the real image. I am actually working on finishing this one up tonight. Hope you like the finished version even more.
Thank you . . . I just posted on your profile. I greatly appreciate the compliment. I am still not done with this work . . . I really shouldn't have posted it, but I was afraid to take it to the next level at the time. I am almost complete with the final details and will post the final version shortly.
You have a beautiful gallery and I really like the style that you have with your work. Really nice job!
To my eyes, this is already absolutely brilliant, but I'll be excited to see the new version. I hope you'll keep them both up, at least for a while, so I could do some further study. It would be very interesting for me to observe what were the details you wanted to enhance & how you went about it!
Thanks on my gallery. Your encouragement means a lot. I come from a line art background, but I'm starting to discover I might have it in me to more. Can't say that I would have found my style quite yet, but I'm trying things out and just having fun with it for now.
That's great! I wish I had more of an attitude with my art that you have. I am so focused and intent on getting better at my work, that I sometimes forget to have fun with it.
I will be keeping up what I have already published in my main gallery. If you are interested in seeing progression though, I use the scrapbook part of my gallery to post Work In Progress (WIP) images and send them to the people I am painting. I also put some sketches that I am currently painting into art I plan to post to my gallery. If you are interested in looking, you can get to my scrapbook from this link:
I used to get really uptight about music, back in the days when I was trying to make it as a musician. With visual arts, I'm not trying to make it into a career, so I find myself way more relaxed about it, even if my natural perfectionism does sometimes hinder me. LOL!
Oh, goodie good! I'm heading to check out your scrapbook!
